Holes are drilled! Positions 3, 5, 7, 10, 12 (I never use 10, 12 but they are on the right side and wanted it to match).
Dab glue with a toothpick. Tip: at first I used silicon-based glue which you're NOT SUPPOSED TO DO. Bad for guitars (and probably ukes). Besides, it didn't work well anyway and I was able to wipe it away quickly. I then used a water-based Gorilla glue that was much better/easier.
Poke in your dot piping, hold it for a bit.
After a little bit, it'll just stay on its own. It's ready for slicing!
Slice it flush. You can use snipers but I didn't have any with a super flat edge so I used a razor.
So flush, so tight.
If you get little jaggies, just gently sand them. I used a Micro-Mesh Touch Up Stick from StewMac.
Clean up excess glue.
Use guitar polish to finish. Also, I have a giant bottle of this stuff and you only ever need a small amount. So if anyone wants some, I can pour into a smaller bottle for you and bring to you sometime.
Lovely dots, just for my left-handed self!
Look at them dots!
